Γεια σας!
Εγώ είμαι ο Ναός της Νέας Παναγίας και βρίσκομαι στο νοτιοανατολικό τμήμα της παλιάς πόλης της Θεσσαλονίκης, σε μικρή απόσταση από τον Λευκό Πύργο. Η ιστορία μου είναι μακρά και εντυπωσιακή. Αν και η σημερινή μου μορφή χρονολογείται από το 1727, λέγεται ότι βρίσκομαι εδώ από τον 12ο αιώνα, κατά τη Βυζαντινή περίοδο.
Μια από τις πιο συγκινητικές ιστορίες που συνδέονται με εμένα είναι ότι η κατασκευή μου χρηματοδοτήθηκε από έναν Μουσουλμάνο. Αυτός προσευχήθηκε στην Παναγία, ζητώντας τη βοήθειά της, για να θεραπευτεί η κόρη του. Και όταν εκείνη έγινε καλά, αποφάσισε να τιμήσει την Παναγία, χτίζοντάς με ως ένδειξη ευγνωμοσύνης.
Στο εσωτερικό μου, η διακόσμησή μου αποτελεί πραγματικό στολίδι. Στο Ιερό Βήμα και στον γυναικωνίτη μπορείς να θαυμάσεις τοιχογραφίες του 18ου αιώνα, εμπνευσμένες από τη ζωγραφική των Παλαιολόγων. Στον ίδιο αιώνα ανήκει και το τέμπλο μου, που είναι περίτεχνα σκαλισμένο και επιχρυσωμένο, προσδίδοντας μεγαλοπρέπεια στον χώρο. Ο δεσποτικός θρόνος, ο άμβωνας, καθώς και οι αγιογραφίες της οροφής ανήκουν στον 19ο αιώνα, μαρτυρώντας το πέρασμα των αιώνων και τη διαρκή φροντίδα που μου προσφέρεται.
Με περιβάλλει μια αύρα πνευματικότητας και ιστορίας, και θα χαρώ να με επισκεφθείς για να γνωρίσεις από κοντά το παρελθόν και την ομορφιά μου.

I am the Church of Nea Panagia and I am located in the southeastern part of the old city of Thessaloniki, a short distance from the White Tower. My history is long and impressive. Although my present form dates back to 1727, it is said that I have been here since the 12th century, during the Byzantine period.
One of the most touching stories associated with me is that my construction was funded by a Muslim. He prayed to the Virgin Mary, asking for her help to heal his daughter. And when she got well, he decided to honor the Virgin Mary by building me as a sign of gratitude.
Inside, my decoration is a real gem. In the Sacred Veil and in the women's balcony you can admire 18th century frescoes inspired by the painting of the Paleologues. My iconostasis also belongs to the same century, which is elaborately carved and gilded, lending grandeur to the space. The despotic throne, the pulpit, and the paintings on the ceiling belong to the 19th century, testifying to the passage of the centuries and the constant care given to me.
An aura of spirituality and history surrounds me, and I would be delighted to have you visit me to get to know my past and my beauty.

Ich bin die Kirche der Nea Panagia und befinde mich im südöstlichen Teil der Altstadt von Thessaloniki, nicht weit vom Weißen Turm entfernt. Meine Geschichte ist lang und beeindruckend. Obwohl meine heutige Form aus dem Jahr 1727 stammt, heißt es, dass ich seit dem 12. Jahrhundert, also seit der byzantinischen Zeit, hier stehe.
Eine der bewegendsten Geschichten, die mit mir verbunden sind, ist die, dass mein Bau von einem Muslim finanziert wurde. Er betete zur Jungfrau Maria und bat sie um Hilfe bei der Heilung seiner Tochter. Und als sie wieder gesund war, beschloss er, die Jungfrau Maria zu ehren, indem er mich als Zeichen der Dankbarkeit baute.
Im Inneren ist meine Dekoration ein wahres Schmuckstück. Im Heiligen Schleier und auf der Frauenempore können Sie Fresken aus dem 18. Jahrhundert bewundern, die von der Malerei der Paläologen inspiriert sind. Aus demselben Jahrhundert stammt auch mein Ikonostas, der kunstvoll geschnitzt und vergoldet ist und dem Raum eine besondere Pracht verleiht. Der Despotenthron, die Kanzel und die Deckengemälde stammen aus dem 19. Jahrhundert und zeugen vom Lauf der Jahrhunderte und von der ständigen Pflege, die mir zuteil wurde.

Je suis l'Église de la Nouvelle Panagía et je me situe dans le secteur sud-est de la vieille ville de Thessalonique, à une courte distance de la Tour Blanche. Mon histoire est longue et impressionnante. Bien que ma forme actuelle date de 1727, on dit que je suis ici depuis le 12e siècle, durant la période byzantine.
Une des histoires les plus touchantes qui me concernent est que ma construction a été financée par un musulman. Il a prié la Vierge Marie, demandant son aide pour guérir sa fille. Et quand elle a été rétablie, il a décidé d'honorer la Vierge en me construisant comme signe de gratitude.
À l'intérieur, ma décoration est un véritable bijou. Dans le Sanctuaire et dans le féminin, tu peux admirer des fresques du 18e siècle, inspirées par la peinture des Paléologues. Mon chœur, également du même siècle, est finement sculpté et doré, ajoutant de la majesté à l'espace. Le trône épiscopal, la chaire, ainsi que les icônes du plafond appartiennent au 19e siècle, témoignant du passage des siècles et des soins constants qui m'ont été apportés.
