Ροτόντα
Γεια σας, είμαι η Ροτόντα, το αρχαιότερο μνημείο της πόλης μαζί με την καμαρα/αψιδα του Γαλεριου. Είμαι θολωτό κυκλικό κτίσμα του 4ου αιώνα, καθώς χτίστηκα στα χρόνια του αυτοκράτορα Γαλέριου, γύρω στο 304 μ.Χ.. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ύπαρξής μου έχω φιλοξενήσει τρεις θρησκείες, το αρχαίο Δωδεκάθεο, τον Χριστιανισμό και τον Μωαμεθανισμό. Στα χρόνια του Βυζαντινού αυτοκράτορα Θεοδόσιου Α’, μετατράπηκα σε χριστιανικό ναό, αφιερωμένο πιθανότατα στους Ασώματους ή Αρχαγγέλους. Η κυκλική μορφή μου παραπέμπει και ακολουθεί ακριβώς την τεχνοτροπία του Πάνθεον στη Ρώμη.Για το χτίσιμό μου χρησιμοποιήθηκαν λίθοι και κεραμικό κονίαμα, ενώ κατά διαστήματα παρατηρούμε πλατιές ζώνες πλίνθων.Μετά τη μετατροπή μου σε ναό θαυμάσια ψηφιδωτά κάλυψαν τον θόλο μου με θέμα τα Θεία Επιφάνεια. Από το 1988 αποτελώ ένα από τα μνημεία παγκόσμιας κληρονομιάς της UNESCO. Στις 18 Δεκεμβρίου 2015, μετά από τις εργασίες αποκατάστασης, άνοιξα τις πύλες μου στο κοινό και ξαναβρήκα τη θέση μου στην πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της Θεσσαλονίκης.

Hello, I am Rotunda,a domed circular building of the 4th century.I was built during the reign of Emperor Galerius around 304. I am the oldest monument of the city along with the arch of Galerius.During my existence I have hosted three religions, the ancient Twelve, Christianity and Mohammedanism.During the years of the Byzantine emperor Theodosius I, I was converted into a Christian temple, probably dedicated to the Asomatoi or Archangels. My circular form follows exactly the style of the Pantheon in Rome. Stones, ceramic mortar were used for my construction, while from time to time we observe wide bands of bricks.After my conversion into a temple, wonderful mosaics covered my dome with the theme of the Divine Surface. Today I am one of the listed UNESCO World Heritage Sites (since 1988).On December 18, 2015, after restoration works, I opened my gates to the public and regained my place in the cultural heritage of Thessaloniki.

Hallo, ich bin die Rotunde, ich bin ein kuppelförmiger Rundbau aus dem 4. Jahrhundert.Ich wurde während der Herrschaft von Kaiser Galerius um 304.It erbaut ist das älteste Denkmal der Stadt zusammen mit dem Galerius-Bogen. Während meines Bestehens habe ich drei Religionen beherbergt, die alten Zwölf, das Christentum und den Mohammedanismus.Während der Herrschaft des byzantinischen Kaisers Theodosius I.
wurde es in einen christlichen Tempel umgewandelt, der wahrscheinlich den Asomatoi oder Erzengeln geweiht war. Meine kreisförmige Form bezieht sich und folgt genau dem Stil des Pantheons in Rom.Für meinen Bau wurden Steine und keramischer Mörtel verwendet, während wir von Zeit zu Zeit breite Ziegelbänder beobachten.Nach meiner Umwandlung in einen Tempel haben wunderbare Mosaike meine Kuppel mit dem Thema der göttlichen Oberfläche bedeckt. Heute gehöre ich zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe (seit 1988).Am 18. Dezember 2015 öffnete ich nach den Restaurierungsarbeiten meine Tore für die Öffentlichkeit und gewann meinen Platz im Kulturerbe von Thessaloniki zurück.

Bonjour, je suis la Rotonde, un bâtiment circulaire en voûte du IVe siècle. J'ai été construit sous le règne de l'empereur Galère, vers 304. Je suis le monument le plus ancien de la ville, aux côtés de l'arc de Galère. Au cours de mon existence, j'ai accueilli trois religions: l'ancien polythéisme grec, le christianisme et l'islam. Sous le règne de l'empereur byzantin Théodose Ier, j'ai été transformé en église chrétienne, probablement dédiée aux Anges ou aux Archanges. Ma forme circulaire évoque et suit exactement le style du Panthéon à Rome. Pour ma construction, des pierres et du mortier céramique ont été utilisés, avec des bandes de briques observées par moments. Après ma transformation en église, de magnifiques mosaïques ont recouvert mon dôme, représentant les Théophanies. Aujourd'hui, je fais partie des monuments classés au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO (depuis 1988). Le 18 décembre 2015, après des travaux de restauration, j'ai ouvert mes portes au public et retrouvé ma place dans le patrimoine culturel de Thessalonique.
